Beaded stars
At the moment, I loooove crafting and making decoration. I used a variety of glass beads in red, green and white and combined them with silver plated beads to some elegant and sparkling beaded stars. You can hang them in a window or on your Christmas tree, or you can make a set of them to give them as a present to someone special. The combination possibilities are endless.
I used pre-made wire stars, about 10 cm in diameter, but you can easily create your own forms by soldering four 10 cm pieces in the middle together.

Beaded stars
Ingredients
- wire star form 10 cm in diameter
- 8 tube beads for the center
- different transparent glass beads, wooden beads and seed beads in the colors of your choice
If you like to make your own wire stars:
- 3mm thick craft wire in gold or silver (four 10 cm pieces)
- soldering iron with solder

Work on one spoke at a time. Add different beads to this spoke and leave at least a half cm at the end unbeaded.
Form a loop with the remaining wire using the needle nose pliers. This will prevent your beads from falling of.
Go on and do the same with the other spokes.
Attach a wire hanger to hang.

So, what’s about you – do you also make any decoration for christmas by yourself? Or do you prefer ready-made decoration?

Where did you find the wire star forms? I’ve asked at some of the local bead stores and the look at me like I’m nuts.

Hi Jessica,
2012/04/19actually I bought them at my local craft store here in Austria. But I took a look online and found them at amazon.com. They offer them in different sizes: 4,5″ and 6″.
